ADVANTAGES
The advantages of harvesting clean energy in space for use on Earth are obvious and numerous. These include addressing critical global issues such as the climate emergency, energy dilemma, water scarcity, environmental restoration, economic security and geopolitics.
CHALLENGES
Implementing the ‘Space Energy Option’ faces a number of technical and geopolitical challenges. None of these are considered to be insurmountable if they are approached in a mutually beneficial manner.
PATHWAYS
The cost of launching satellites and space hardware costs have declined significantly while becoming ever more sophisticated and capable. However, the logistical challenge of launching many rockets from the surface Earth will require new and innovative approaches.

To address the many challenges facing humanity with realistic, affordable and sustainable space-based energy solutions that work.
DEVELOPMENT
All the necessary technologies needed to provide clean and inexhaustible energy from space alreeady exist. Developing and optimizing these technologies into an economic and logistical strategy that will enable their earliest implementation is our highest priority.
INTEGRATION
Industrial integration with non-space industries is essential. Involving the terrestrial energy sector is the key to success. All industries dependent on sufficient and clean energy for their sustainable operations will benefit enormously from their early involvement and integration.
OUTREACH
Making the public aware of the feasibility and the benefits of space solar power will be essential to its eventual and successful implementation. Anyone can make a difference and everyone is invited to become a member of the Astrostrom consortium. Join the conversation and make a difference..
